Privacy Policy
Effective 2 November 2026
Short version: Pawfall uses Firebase Authentication to sign you in, Neon Postgres to store your cat name and scores, and Cloudflare to serve the game. We do not sell personal data. You can ask us to delete your account and scores at any time.
1. Who we are
Pawfall is a cat-themed block puzzle game. For privacy requests, contact cheahbl1991@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: Firebase user ID, email address, display name, and profile photo URL from Google sign-in (if you use it).
- Game data: scores, lines, levels, run duration, game IDs, timestamps, and leaderboard rank.
- Technical data: IP address and request metadata processed by Cloudflare for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
- Local data: your local best score, mute preference, and Firebase session on your device.
3. How we use it
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- Show the global leaderboard and your personal stats.
- Prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive score submissions.
- Respond to support and deletion requests.
- Improve reliability and fix bugs.
4. Services we use
- Google Firebase Authentication — identity and sign-in.
- Neon Postgres — player profiles and scores, hosted in AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore).
- Cloudflare Pages and Pages Functions — hosting and API delivery.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. Data may be processed outside your country.
5. Advertising and purchases
The current web and preview builds do not show third-party ads and do not process payments. If Pawfall adds AdMob, in-app purchases, or subscriptions, this policy and the store disclosures will be updated before those features go live. Purchases on Android will be processed by Google Play.
6. Children
Pawfall is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and score data until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. To request deletion, email cheahbl1991@gmail.com from the address linked to your account with the subject “Pawfall account deletion”. We will delete your player row, scores, and Firebase account within a reasonable period, subject to legal or security obligations.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them. You can also sign out at any time and clear local data in your browser or device settings.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, encrypted secrets, Firebase token verification, server-side score validation, and rate limiting. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect player data and limit what the browser can access.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as Pawfall evolves. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be communicated on this page or in the app.
